2024 Autumn KSCT Meeting

Sun-young participated in the 2024 Autumn Meeting of the Korean Society of Clean Technology, held in Gyeongju. The conference provided a platform for researchers to present recent developments in clean technologies, sustainable processes, and environmental engineering.

During the meeting, Sun-young presented a poster entitled “Mathematical Modeling of Electrolyzer–Pressure Retarded Membrane Distillation (PRMD) Hybrid Process for Maximizing Wastewater Treatment and Water-Derived Energy Reuse Efficiency.” The study developed a mathematical modelling framework for an integrated electrolyzer–PRMD hybrid system designed to enhance ammonia removal from wastewater while simultaneously improving water recovery and energy reuse efficiency. The work demonstrated how process modelling can be used to evaluate system performance and support the design of energy-efficient wastewater treatment technologies.

The conference provided valuable opportunities to share research outcomes and exchange ideas with researchers working on sustainable process technologies.
